A good way to detect part differences is to use a laser sensor
in the instance detecting which way up a part is and a fast
acting air blast recirculates incorrectly orientated discs.

A good way to prevent tubes and round parts from bridging is
to agitate them in this instance this was achieved by driving the
servo driven flighted belt slightly backwards every index, the
tubes were slightly curved and this solution was very succesfull.
